The anthem for the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 was released on Tuesday and it has been one of the top trends in the country past couple of days. But not all the conversation around it is positive; in fact, most of it seems to be negative.
The official song for Season 5 of PSL “Tayyar Hain” was sung by Ali Azmat, Haroon Rashid, Asim Azhar, and Arif Lohar. The tune for this anthem was produced by the famous musician Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan (Xulfi), while the video was directed by Kamal Khan of Laal Kabootar.
While the previous PSL was mostly played in UAE since foreign players refused to visit Pakistan due to security reasons, this year all of PSL will be played at home grounds in the country.
The video was presented to stakeholders in an impressive launch ceremony which was attended by representatives of all six franchises, sponsors, media, and the PCB staff. Everyone was unanimous in giving the song and its video a thumbs up.
Even some fans apparently liked the catchy beat and fun vibe of the song, as well as the video, particularly Arif Lohar’s vocals.
But most fans seem to not like the song very much.
The video has over 1 million views on YouTube, within two days, with 55K people giving it a thumbs up and 36K people giving it a thumbs down.
Among all this criticism, our very own Adeel Butt absolutely loves the song and is going around making us all listen to it until we agree with him. Save us and tell him what you think of the song?
