Hadiqa Kiani’s Diriliş: Ertuğrul Tribute Song “Sen Aglama” Crosses 1 Million Views

Hadiqa Kiani recently sang a Turkish song Sen Aglama as a tribute to Diriliş: Ertuğrul, which has now crossed 1 million views on Facebook alone.

Hadiqa released her modernized version of Sen Aglama on 19th June, 2020, as a tribute to the show that has taken Pakistan by storm – Diriliş: Ertuğrul. The video of the song consisted of scenes from the show making the whole experience more meaningful for Ertuğrul fans.

The original was sung by Turkish singer Sezen Aksu in 1984. Hadiqa had previously sung it in 2005 at the Atatürk Cultural Center Opera House in Istanbul when she was touring Turkey.

While it was originally released on YouTube, the song was picked up and played by PTV with the caption “A tribute to Ertugrul, Sezen Aksu and Turkey by HADIQA KIANI on behalf of Pakistan.”

The 2006 winner of Tamgha-e-Imtiaz took to her Instagram to share the news of reaching this milestone with her fans. She wrote, “We have hit ONE MILLION views on Facebook alone! Thank you for supporting this rendition, I am truly overwhelmed ❤️.”

In addition to this milestone, the song has reached 215K views and 9.6K likes on YouTube within a week.
